Job Description

We’re hiring for Used Car Porter/Lot Attendant at Honda and Toyota of Seattle.

The Used Car Lot Porter supports the Used Car Manager and Sales Department by ensuring all pre-owned inventory is clean, organized, properly staged, and ready for sale. This role is essential to creating a professional, customer-ready lot appearance and maintaining efficient dealership operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management & Lot Organization:

  • Park, move, and stage vehicles safely and efficiently across the lot, service area, detail, and overflow lots.
  • Ensure all used vehicles are lined, tagged, and merchandised according to dealership standards.
  • Assist with lot organization changes, display rotations, and sale/event setups.
  • Verify stock numbers, license plates, temp tags, and window labels are accurate and properly installed.

Vehicle Readiness:

  • Perform basic vehicle cleaning (vacuum, wipe-downs, windows) as needed before photos or customer test drives.
  • Deliver vehicles to photography or detail vendors and return them promptly.
  • Check fuel levels and fill tanks as authorized.
  • Install plates, dealer plates, or temporary tags as directed.

Quality & Condition Checks:

  • Inspect incoming trades and auction purchases for damage, cleanliness, and feature accuracy.
  • Note any issues and report them immediately to the Used Car Manager.
  • Assist with taking basic photos or videos if needed for online listings.

General Support:

  • Keep the lot clean and free of debris; maintain a professional appearance at all times.
  • Support the Sales team with vehicle pulls, test-drive staging, and customer delivery preparation.
  • Run errands for the dealership (parts, gas, transport between stores, DMV paperwork, etc).
  • Assist with moving vehicles to and from service, detail, and reconditioning.

General Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools - must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license. Positions are subject to a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.
  • Must be able to drive any vehicle make and model, including manual transmission.
  • An ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment while sometimes being exposed to excessive weather conditions (heat/cold).
  • Use of safety equipment that may include but not limited to, face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.


Salary: $21.30 per hour.
