Description Robert Half is seeking detail-oriented Tax Preparers for the upcoming 2026 Tax Season. During peak tax season, we are looking for Tax Preparers who are open to working both full and part time! Previous Tax Processing experience is required (5+years of experience preferred) as you will be processing and assisting clients by preparing federal and state individual and business returns. These professionals are typically called back throughout the year (assisting with deadlines and extensions) and will be utilized each tax season with the same firm. Key Responsibilities: + Prepare individual federal and state income tax returns using tax preparation software + Review financial records, receipts, W-2s, 1099s, and other documentation to ensure accuracy + Conduct client interviews to gather necessary tax information + Explain tax return details and answer client questions in a clear, professional manner + Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations + Maintain confidentiality of client information at all times + Assist with filing, document organization, and other administrative tasks as needed + Stay updated on current tax laws relevant to individual returns Requirements Qualifications: + Previous experience preparing individual tax, business and corporate returns + Knowledge of tax software (e.g., Drake, Lacerte, ProSeries, TaxSlayer, etc.) is a plus + Strong attention to detail and accuracy + Excellent customer service and communication skills + Ability to work efficiently under deadline pressures during peak season + Degree is not required, but highly preferred Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
