Position Details

We are seeking a dedicated Janitor to join our Team!

Position Summary:

Performs general routine cleaning/janitorial duties to include (but not necessarily limited to) dusting; sweeping; mopping, vacuuming, removing trash, restroom cleaning and ensuring there is toilet paper, hand soap etc.., and restocking cleaning supplies.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of professional or industrial cleaning experience
• Ability to be flexible
• Self-motivator

Responsibilities:

• Follows daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning checklist
• Performs cleaning functions specific to the assigned area of the facility
• Empties trash receptacles, disposes trash into compactors and/or dumpsters
• Reports needs and/or concerns to the Facilities Director
• Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Assist as needed and/or perform snow removal activities
• Minor maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, moving/adjusting furniture, or other similar activities
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Other Requirements:

• Satisfactory criminal background checks

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

This position requires extensive standing and walking throughout the work shift. Must have the ability to stoop, crouch, kneel and bend. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Must have the ability to use senses: sight, hearing, smell and touch. The job is performed under some temperature extremes and under some hazardous conditions.
