Our law firm is looking for the next associate attorney to assist in providing legal counsel to clients. You will work closely with our senior partners and associates, conduct legal research, draft documents, and maintain client files. If you’ve recently graduated from law school, have excellent fact-finding and communication skills, and are ready to jump-start your career in the legal industry, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities:

• Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients
• Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff
• Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneys
• Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings
• Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently
• Attend depositions, mediations, and other matters.
• Handle client matters from start to finish, with limited supervision by senior attorneys or partners.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school
• Candidates must have passed the bar exam
• Prepared to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base
• Exceptional communication skills and problem-solving skills needed in order to work with all levels of staff and our clients
• Active membership with the American Bar Association (ABA)
• Must be a member of the Georgia Bar in good standing.
• Experience in bankruptcy or commercial litigation of at least 1-2 years is required.
