Position: Commercial Roofing Estimator

Location: NJ, 10 miles from Philly

Salary: $90,000- $150,000 BASE DOE + BONUS + GREAT BENEFITS

Our client is a top roofing contractor with almost $50M in revenue, on pace to break that in 2025. They have been in business for 50 years servicing the commercial and industrial markets. Due to massive growth they are looking for a talented Estimator who has a deep understanding of multiple roofing systems to join their fastest growing division. You will play a critical role in accurately assessing the costs and resources required for small, mid, and large commercial re-roof projects throughout the North East and Mid Atlantic states. Your ability to interpret project plans and specifications, perform accurate quantity take-offs, and provide reliable cost estimates will contribute to the success and profitability of our projects.

What you will be doing:

• Complete all estimates and RFPs in a timely fashion to meet the needs of customers and sales staff within reason.
• Filter jobs to be bid on and review with Director if questions arise.
• Keep us in our lane of the industry (Re-roofing projects on mid to large commercial and industrial projects) and coordinate this with the Director.
• Communicate with large volume customers (RC, MS, etc) with questions and answers for bids submitted. Communicate with Sales staff on their bids.
• Complete accurate proposals for each bid including necessary exclusions/terms. Fill out RFP bid forms accurately and report to the Contract Administrator for Bid Bonds/P&B bonds.
• Work with CFO/Controller/Director on tax laws of each state to incorporate necessary taxes in all bids submitted.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 5+ years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in commercial construction or roofing.
• Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
• Expert knowledge of Excel
• Proficiency in construction estimating software and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret project documents and perform accurate quantity take-offs.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
