Garage Unarmed Security Officer 

Job Scope/Overview:

We are seeking dependable and professional Unarmed Security Officers to join our team in the City of Orlando. This position involves the day-to-day security screening and patrolling of parking garage properties, ensuring the safety and security of all patrons and staff. 

Job Description:

• Pay Rate: $16.00/hour.
• After 30-Days: FT Employees Eligible for Health Benefits (medical, dental and vision)

Essential Duties:

• Actively observe and patrol parking facilities to detect and deter the transport of prohibited or hazardous items.
• Maintain a professional, courteous demeanor while providing exceptional service to all visitors, employees, and stakeholders.
• Conduct thorough physical inspections of vehicles, packages, and personal property as necessary; verify identification in accordance with security protocols.
• Conduct regular foot patrols throughout the entire building and surrounding premises; complete security checkpoints and log activities to ensure consistent coverage and visibility.
• Perform a range of security-related tasks to maintain the safety and security of the premises, including responding to incidents, reporting suspicious activity, and enforcing facility rules.

Job Requirements:

• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Must possess a valid Florida Class-D Security License.
• Must have at least 1 year of verifiable security experience.
• Must have a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Must read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Must be able to pass a verifiable background check, including criminal employment, education, and personal references.
• Must possess valid state-issued Driver’s License or a valid state-issued I.D. card.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment / annual / random drug screenings.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work and interact with the public.
• Must be able to work around the flexibility and changing schedules. This includes being available to work shifts throughout the day, afternoon, evening and overnight as required.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand for long periods of time with few breaks.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to twist, squat, and bend over without physical limitations.
• Ability to perform patrols including walking long distances and going up and down stairs.
• Ability to protect yourself or others in the event of a physical disturbance.
• Must be comfortable with conditions that range from Summer Heat to Winter Conditions
• Open availability without restraints due to other part time jobs, etc.
