Job Description

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is partnered with a highly respected facility in Boston, MA , currently seeking two experienced LPNs to assist on a full-time basis.

Position Details

  • Location: Boston, MA

  • Duration: 13 weeks to start, with likelihood of extension

  • Facility Type: Correctional Facility

  • Schedule:

  • Opening 1: Mon-Fri and every other weekend, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM

  • Opening 2: Mon-Fri and every other weekend, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

  • Pay:

  • Local: $48/hr

  • Travel: $2,150 gross/week

Position Description

  • General nursing duties including medication administration, triage, and risk assessment

  • Assist physicians with medical treatments

  • Administer prescribed medications

  • Apply surgical dressings and bandages

  • Provide emergency first aid care

  • Check and record vital signs

  • Obtain specimens for diagnostic testing

  • Report reactions to treatments and medications, as well as changes in emotional or physical condition

  • Provide patient education and discharge planning

  • Accurately document all care information in a timely manner

  • Promote a therapeutic environment and ensure professional, ethical treatment of inmates

  • Perform other position-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Current LPN license in the state of practice

  • Minimum of one year of experience in psychiatric or correctional healthcare required

  • Current CPR certification

  • Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice
