Amergis Healthcare Staffing is partnered with a highly respected facility in Boston, MA , currently seeking two experienced LPNs to assist on a full-time basis.
Position Details
Location: Boston, MA
Duration: 13 weeks to start, with likelihood of extension
Facility Type: Correctional Facility
Schedule:
Opening 1: Mon-Fri and every other weekend, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Opening 2: Mon-Fri and every other weekend, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Pay:
Local: $48/hr
Travel: $2,150 gross/week
Position Description
General nursing duties including medication administration, triage, and risk assessment
Assist physicians with medical treatments
Administer prescribed medications
Apply surgical dressings and bandages
Provide emergency first aid care
Check and record vital signs
Obtain specimens for diagnostic testing
Report reactions to treatments and medications, as well as changes in emotional or physical condition
Provide patient education and discharge planning
Accurately document all care information in a timely manner
Promote a therapeutic environment and ensure professional, ethical treatment of inmates
Perform other position-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Current LPN license in the state of practice
Minimum of one year of experience in psychiatric or correctional healthcare required
Current CPR certification
Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice
