Salary :$23-$26/hr(Can be negotiated depending on experience)
Food manufacturing experience is a must have
Summary:
The Quality Control Supervisor will organize and coordinate activities related to the implementation of quality and food safety programs and standards in a USDA food-manufacturing environment.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field
SQF Practitioner Certificate preferred
Minimum 3+ years of experience managing Quality and Food Safety Operations in a USDA food manufacturing facility
Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and implement SOPs related to Food Quality and Food Safety
Assist with audits (USDA, FDA, Health Department, Virginia Dept. of Agriculture, etc.)
Oversee pre-requisite programs (maintenance, supplier approval, pest control, sanitation, etc.)
Monitor plant compliance with regulatory and quality standards
Maintain QA programs in line with SQF food safety and quality codes
Investigate and resolve customer complaints and internal non-conformities
Lead root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and verify effectiveness
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
