Shift: Night Shift | 11:30 PM – 8:00 AM (7.5 hours per shift)
Schedule: 5 days/week (37.5 hours/week); every other weekend required
Contract Duration: 9 weeks
Pay Rate: $25–$28 per hour
Estimated Weekly Pay: $937.50–$1,050
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Patient Care Associate (PCA) to support a Labor & Delivery (L&D) unit at a healthcare facility in Brooklyn, NY. This night-shift contract role offers a consistent schedule and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to maternal and newborn care in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Under the direct supervision of Labor & Delivery nursing staff, the Patient Care Associate will:
Monitor and document vital signs; report observations to nursing staff
Perform venipuncture (blood draws) and operate EKG/ECG equipment
Assist with patient admissions, including interviews and medical history collection
Prepare patients for examinations and clinical procedures
Collect, label, and prepare laboratory specimens (e.g., dipstick, hemoccult)
Prepare, clean, and sterilize examination and treatment rooms
Maintain inventory and stock medical supplies on the unit
Assist with basic wound care and dressing changes as directed
Escort and guide patients throughout the facility
Provide compassionate support to patients and their families
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience required
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Certifications & Training:
Completion of a NYS Department of Health–approved Phlebotomy Training Program
Completion of a healthcare-based EKG/ECG training program
Active CPR/BLS certification
