Job Details:

JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT

Local construction company in need of a  Junior Accountant  to support their Accounting and Finance team in maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with day-to-day accounting operations.

This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who is eager to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.

Major Responsibilities:

• Assist with monthly close activities and preparation of financial reports
• Support account reconciliations and basic account analysis
• Help prepare and file sales tax reports
• Assist with payroll processing and related documentation
• Assist with Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) management
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation

Additional Responsibilities:

• Monitor and report on cash transactions
• Participate in special projects and provide administrative accounting support as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing)
• 1–2 years of accounting experience (internships or entry-level roles accepted)
• Familiarity with basic accounting principles and GAAP
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Proficiency in Excel and general computer literacy
