Hilltop Trucking & Excavating, Inc is looking for a Diesel/Heavy Equipment Mechanic. Full or part time. Preferably experienced on class 8 trucks and excavating equipment. Will train as needed. Welding experience and CDL is a plus. Must be able to work on or under large excavating machinery and trucks. Maintain vehicle repair records, process work orders in computer, and maintain a neat and clean working environment. Most of the Work to be done in modern shop with overhead crane with some work on the job site with tandem axle service and lube truck as needed. ( service truck requires CDL or ability to obtain). Steady year around work with flexible hours. We are signatory to Operators Union Local 139 which includes full Union health and pension plan, annuity and training center access. All 100 % company funded. No cost to the employee. This is a union position. Applicant does not have to be a previous union member, we will include you in. Qualifications:
·High School Diploma or GED required
·Previous experience working on excavating equipment and / or class 8 trucks
·Must have good organization skills; must be detail-oriented; and must have strong mechanical aptitude Including troubleshooting. Must be able to obtain CDL, we will train and supply testing.
