Position Summary We are seeking an accomplished, polished, and highly professional Estate Manager to oversee the seamless daily operations of a sophisticated private residence in San Francisco. This is a hospitality-driven leadership role requiring impeccable attention to detail, a refined aesthetic sensibility, and a deep sense of stewardship. The ideal candidate is an experienced estate professional with an extensive background managing luxury homes and elevated service environments. Warmth, discretion, and emotional intelligence are essential, along with the ability to lead, inspire, and support a high-performing household team. This role encompasses the full spectrum of estate operations from housekeeping, maintenance oversight, and vendor management to event execution and personalized hospitality ensuring the residence consistently reflects the family's values, standards, and lifestyle. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic oversight and hands-on management of daily operations for the residence and grounds Lead, mentor, and support a multidisciplinary household staff, including housekeepers, chef, gardeners, and outside vendors Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, service, and overall presentation throughout the property at all times Anticipate and fulfill family and guest needs through proactive coordination with staff and leadership Create house manuals, manage estate calendars, guest schedules, and all service operations related to visits and events Plan, coordinate, and execute private events and entertainment, including vendor management, service supervision, and the creation of refined guest experiences Ensure all home systems (lighting, HVAC, security, smart-home technologies) operate flawlessly in partnership with the facilities team Oversee household budgets, inventories, purchasing, and detailed expense reporting Maintain clear staff protocols, scheduling, training, and performance standards to ensure consistent excellence Execute refined hospitality services, including welcome procedures, guest preparation, and service touchpoints Qualifications Extensive experience managing luxury private residences or UHNW estates Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational abilities Deep understanding of high-end hospitality, service excellence, and property presentation Experience supporting and executing private events; formal event planning experience a plus Strong familiarity with complex residential systems and general property maintenance principles Discreet, proactive, emotionally intelligent, and highly professional demeanor Comfortable with modern technology, digital systems, and office software Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends, holidays, and occasional travel Extensive local knowledge of San Francisco Bay area, including top shops, markets, and restaurants Legally authorized to work in the U.S., valid driver's license and passport Schedule Full-time role with frequent weekend hours and flexibility required.
