MEMCO is hiring Directional Drill Operators in the Atlanta area!

Schedule: M-F

Pay: $25-$28/hr; BOE

Job Overview:

We are hiring Directional Drill Operators to manage and operate drilling equipment for underground utility and construction projects. This critical role ensures accurate, safe, and efficient installation of pipelines, conduits, and other underground infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Operate directional drilling equipment according to project plans
• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections on equipment
• Ensure accurate bore paths and depth control
• Monitor job site for safety hazards and follow all safety protocols
• Coordinate with project teams to meet schedules and project requirements
• Maintain equipment and report any issues to management

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Directional Drill Operator (civil/utility projects preferred)
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Knowledge of underground drilling procedures and equipment operation
• Experience with pulling pipelines, conduits, or cables
• Experience with auger boring or similar underground drilling techniques (preferred)
• Ability to perform maintenance and troubleshoot drill rigs
• Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs, climbing, and working in confined spaces
• Reliable transportation, steel-toe boots, and PPE required
