Quality Engineer | DeWitt, MI

Salary Range: $73,000 - $107,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in DeWitt that are seeking Quality Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and standards.
• Conduct root cause analysis for quality defects and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Perform internal and external audits of products, processes, and the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools to monitor and improve manufacturing processes.
• Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and material review board (MRB) activities.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Support new product development (NPD) and new product introduction (NPI) activities to ensure quality requirements are met.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing).
• 3+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge and application of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and core quality tools (e.g., FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP).
• Proven ability to perform root cause analysis and implement effective corrective/preventive actions.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles (Green Belt certification preferred).
• Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification.
• Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
• Experience conducting internal or external quality system audits.
• Familiarity with specific industry standards (e.g., IATF 16949, AS9100, ISO 13485).
