About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Analyst to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. This position is open to all experience levels, from entry-level candidates to seasoned QA professionals. You will play a critical role in ensuring product quality through careful testing, documentation, and collaboration with development and product teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical documents to identify testing needs.

  • Design, develop, and execute test cases , test plans , and test scripts .

  • Perform various types of testing including functional, regression, integration, system, and exploratory.

  • Identify, document, and track defects using industry-standard tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla).

  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members to resolve issues and ensure quality standards.

  • Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and Agile ceremonies.

  • Validate fixes and perform retesting to ensure issues are properly addressed.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and best practices.

  • Maintain clear documentation of testing activities and results.

  • Support automation initiatives depending on experience level (optional for juniors).

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Understanding of software testing concepts, SDLC, and STLC.

  • Ability to create and execute structured test cases and test plans.

  • Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Good communication and documentation skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.

  • Foundational QA knowledge through coursework, certifications, internships, or personal projects.

  • Interest in learning manual and/or automation testing.

  • Hands-on experience in manual testing for web, mobile, or backend applications.
  • Ability to work independently and manage test coverage across features.

  • Proven experience leading QA efforts across complex projects.

  • Strong understanding of testing strategies, risk-based testing, and QA best practices.

  • Experience mentoring junior testers and optimizing test processes.

  • Experience with automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium).

  • Familiarity with API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools.

  • Basic SQL knowledge for database validation.

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).

  • Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) optional.

  • ISTQB or similar certifications.

  • Must have the right to work in the UK - no sponsorship provided.
