Job Title: Payroll Analyst

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Payroll Analyst to join our client to support accurate, timely payroll operations across a diverse employee population. In this role, you’ll help maintain smooth payroll cycles by entering and reviewing data, resolving employee inquiries, and partnering with internal teams to keep information up to date. You’ll also contribute to case management, reporting, and routine compliance checks that ensure payroll integrity. This position is remote with required onsite visits twice per month in West Chester, PA, and is offered as a contract opportunity.

Compensation:
$55.00/hour

Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, normal business hours

Key Responsibilities of the Payroll Analyst:

Payroll Operations & Data Accuracy
Support the full payroll cycle by entering and reconciling employee information, validating data from HR and timekeeping systems, and responding to common questions regarding taxes, pay statements, and corrections.

Case & Ticket Management Support
Manage Tier 1 and Tier 2 inquiries within the ticketing system, ensuring clear documentation and timely resolution; escalate complex cases to regional leads when necessary.

Reporting & Documentation Maintenance
Assist with generating payroll reports, statutory filings, and standard documentation while keeping SOPs updated and contributing to ongoing knowledge retention.

Process & System Improvements
Participate in continuous improvement efforts, including testing enhancements, adopting new tools or templates, and helping to streamline workflows.

Compliance & Audit Assistance
Prepare requested information for internal and external audits and perform routine checks that support overall compliance readiness.

Qualifications and Skills for the Payroll Analyst:

Experience handling multi-state U.S. payroll for various employee groups, including union, temporary, and full-time populations.
Familiarity with Workday for payroll processing and data management.
CloudPay experience is a plus and may support future process improvements.
A degree in a related field is preferred, although strong payroll experience will also be considered.
