Job Description and Duties

Under the direct supervision of the Correctional Administrator, ADA/ Armstrong Coordinator, the Office Technician (OT) must have a high degree of sensitivity and be cognizant of the consequence of errors related to both oral and written communication, must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills and be able to effectively multi-task.  This individual will assume clerical responsibilities with regards to the development and implementation of the education department, custodial personnel scheduling, incarcerated persons appeals, institutional security operations, and other Program activities.

TYPING CERTIFICATE

A Typing Certificate is REQUIRED and must be submitted with your Employment Application (STD.678).  Applications received without an appropriate Typing Certificate will be rejected for being incomplete and will not be considered.  (Please see 'Typing Certificate Requirements' below). Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Candidates who have been withheld may file an appeal with the State Personnel Board.

Candidates new to CDCR are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis testing prior to appointment followed by department annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.
