• Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
ROLE IMPACT: The Mortgage Document Specialist ensures accuracy and compliance throughout the loan funding process. This role supports financial operations by reviewing critical documentation, coordinating wire transfers, and maintaining compliance with federal regulations. Success is measured by error-free execution, timely processing, and reliable customer service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serve as the primary contact for customer inquiries and routine requests
• Track and acknowledge receipt of all required loan documentation
• Review submitted information against supporting records for accuracy
• Conduct fraud reviews, OFAC screenings, and other transaction checks
• Obtain signatures from authorized officers and confirm wire transfer completion
• Provide backup coverage for collateral specialist tasks as needed
• Maintain compliance through accurate documentation and timely training completion
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• HS Diploma or GED required
• 1–3 years of experience in mortgage banking or financial services
• Strong written communication skills for reports and correspondence
• Proficient in MS Office, typing, and 10-key data entry
CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS
• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Loan processing and compliance systems (banking platforms)
• Typing and 10-key entry tools
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Knowledge of mortgage documentation and loan funding processes
• Ability to interpret procedure manuals and government regulations
• Experience handling customer communications in a regulated environment
