Local Rate: $848.70 per week
Travel Rate: $1,041.50 per week
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Mental Health Therapy Aide – Children/Adolescent Psych Unit for an exciting Travel or Local job in Syracuse, NY.
Qualifications:Current CPR Certification (required).
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in psychiatric or mental health care (2 years preferred).
Experience in inpatient psychiatric settings (preferred).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively with patients, families, and care teams.
Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) documentation.
Ability to perform patient care functions independently in an acute care environment.
Provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of nursing staff.
Take and record vital signs, assist in physical examinations, collect specimens, and document admission details.
Monitor patient intake and output; assist with patient transport as needed.
Orient new patients to unit policies, schedules, and daily routines.
Assist patients with hygiene needs and daily living activities.
Report patient data and observations promptly and accurately to nursing staff.
Develop therapeutic relationships and engage patients in structured activities.
Respond to crisis situations and ensure patient and staff safety.
Implement age-appropriate clinical and psychological interventions.
Conduct regular safety rounds and document findings.
Observe and report patient responses to care and treatment plans.
Participate in unit management activities and attend departmental meetings.
