Insero Talent Solutions is recruiting a Default Litigation Attorney for a mid-sized law firm in Rochester, NY.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing foreclosure, bankruptcy, and eviction litigation, and will be responsible for handling a caseload focused on default-related matters in state courts.

Requirements and Duties:

· Represent financial institutions, mortgage lenders, and loan servicers in foreclosure, bankruptcy, and eviction proceedings.

· Handle contested litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and court appearances.

· Review and sign pleadings, motions, responses, and legal correspondence.

· Attend hearings, mediations, and trials as necessary.

· Advise clients on legal risks, compliance issues, and case strategy.

· Maintain regular communication with clients and opposing counsel.

· Ensure compliance with firm and client requirements, including documentation and billing.

Preferred Qualifications:

· [1-5+] years of experience in default services litigation, including foreclosure, bankruptcy, and/or evictions preferred

· Experience handling court appearances and managing caseloads independently.

· Strong legal research and writing skills.

· Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage deadlines effectively.

· Familiarity with loan servicing practices and relevant state/federal laws (e.g., FDCPA, RESPA, TILA) is a plus.

· Proficiency in case management software and electronic filing systems.

Qualified applicants should have experience in the default services area, preferably in ligation and should have basic knowledge of the foreclosure process.
