Job Description

Salary: $140,000 - 150,000 per year Requirements:

  • As an ideal candidate for the Senior Data Scientist position, you should possess strong hands-on experience and a solid foundation in machine learning, focusing on dimensionality reduction, clustering, embeddings, and sequence classification algorithms. Experience with deep learning frameworks, including PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Hugging Face Transformers, is essential. Practical experience in Natural Language Processing methods and libraries like spaCy, word2vec, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, Flair, and BERT is necessary. You should also be familiar with large language models, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and benchmarking using frameworks such as LangChain and LlamaIndex. A strong background in Python is required, along with knowledge of AWS, GCP, Azure, or other cloud platforms. Understanding data modeling principles and complex data models is important, as well as proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases and vector stores (e.g., Postgres, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, ChromaDB). Knowledge of Scala, Spark, Ray, or other distributed computing systems is preferred, as is expertise in API development, containerization, and machine learning deployment. Experience with ML Ops/AI Ops is also highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
  • In your role as a Senior Data Scientist, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing LLM-based applications tailored to in-house legal needs, ensuring they align with our commitment to excellence and innovation. You will evaluate and maintain our data assets and training/evaluation datasets to ensure they meet the highest standards for integrity and quality. Your responsibilities will include designing and building pipelines for preprocessing, annotating, and managing legal document datasets while fostering a customer-centric mindset. Collaborating with legal experts to understand requirements is essential for ensuring that models meet domain-specific needs, all while working as part of one cohesive team. You will conduct experiments and evaluate model performance to drive continuous improvements, striving to raise the bar in all deliverables. Evaluating AI/ML and GenAI outcomes, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and alignment with business objectives will also be key. You will work closely with other technical personnel to finalize requirements, taking ownership of outcomes and ensuring ethical choices in every action. Additionally, your involvement in implementing development processes, coding best practices, and conducting code reviews for production environments will embody our values.
