Part Time Janitorial / Custodial

Job Summary

The Janitorial/Custodial Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and orderly environment in offices, conference rooms, restrooms, break areas, and common spaces. This role ensures all assigned areas meet cleanliness and disinfection standards while exercising care around personal items and electronic equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and disinfect chairs, including seat portions, armrests, and chair backs.
• Dust and clean conference room, training room tables, desks, countertops, and cabinets in areas clear of papers, books, and personal items.
• Wipe and clean spills promptly on all applicable surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect door jambs and light switches, removing fingerprints and marks.
• Sweep, vacuum, and damp mop all hard surface floors using approved disinfecting procedures.
• Clean interior glass surfaces, removing fingerprints and smudges with disinfecting cloths.
• Perform high and low dusting, including shelves, partition tops, windowsills, vents, wall décor, baseboards, behind doors, and chair bases.
• Wipe down and disinfect exterior surfaces of lockers.
• Thoroughly clean microwave ovens inside and out, removing spills and residue.
• Clean and disinfect partitions, removing fingerprints and marks.
• Clean and disinfect refrigerator exteriors, interior shelves, and internal surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including fixtures, mirrors, counters, dispensers, and trash containers; restock supplies as needed.
• Follow safety procedures by avoiding cleaning of computer equipment or electronic devices to prevent damage or data loss.

Qualifications

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred but not required
• Knowledge of proper cleaning and disinfecting techniques
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods

Work Environment

Office buildings, conference rooms, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.

Schedule: 

• Part-Time Evening & Early Day Shift – Warehouse is open 7 days a week.

Payrate: 

• $17/hr
