IT Infrastructure Engineer

Duration: 3 months to start, 40+ hours per week (possibly) for the first month to get caught up FYI

Onsite 2 days/week location: 10845 Kinsman Rd in Newbury, Ohio 44065

Rate to Defy: $100/hr

Skillset:

Core Infrastructure & Systems

• Microsoft Server Environment : Administration and maintenance.
• Active Directory (AD) : Sync with Microsoft 365; Entra ID integration (no Okta/Ping).
• Microsoft 365 : Hosted by Microsoft; includes Exchange and Outlook.
• VMware : Virtualization management.
• Veeam : Backup solutions.
• Expedient / Zerto : Backup to tape (Zerto suspected, needs confirmation).

Networking

• Meraki : Firewall, switches, and access point configuration and management.
• VPN : Setup and support as needed.
• Global Network Support : Coordination with vendors for hardware installs (e.g., switch deployment in Denmark, France, Belgium).

Endpoint & Device Management

• Intune : Internal use for patching and device management.
• SCCM : Used for server patch management.
• SysAid : Ticketing system (no formal change management process).
• MFA : Dual mobile authentication.

Security & Monitoring

• CrowdStrike : Endpoint protection, monitoring, and incident response.
• Dell SecureWorks (Taegis) : Agent deployment and monitoring.
• Vulnerability Scanning : Using Taegis and Sophos.
• Incident Response : Participation in global incident calls for new issues or changes.

Communication & Collaboration

• 8x8 : Experience preferred (VoIP/UCaaS platform).

Tools & Projects

• NinjaOne : Potential new deployment.
• Rubrik : New backup/DR solution under consideration.

Other Notes

• Provided Equipment : Company will supply phone and laptop.
