Our client is a growing non-profit in Westchester county, and they are seeking a skilled and motivated Human Resources Manager to join its leadership team during a period of exciting growth. This role offers the opportunity to shape HR strategy and people operations that directly support the mission: to enable all young people - especially those who need us most - to reach their full potential.
Responsibilities - Develop and maintain HR standard operating procedures, policies, and practices.
- Collaborate with leadership to define performance metrics, including staff satisfaction and retention.
- Manage job descriptions, recruitment, onboarding, and benefits enrollment.
- Serve as the HR point of contact for staff regarding timesheets, leave requests, and personnel issues.
- Administer and maintain HRIS, payroll, and compliance reporting.
- Oversee open enrollment, 401(a) plan administration, and all paid leave programs (FMLA, PFL, STD, Workers’ Compensation).
- Coordinate mandatory staff trainings, including annual anti-harassment training.
- Support recruitment needs in partnership with Clubhouse and School-Site Directors.
Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in business, social science, management, or related field.
- 2+ years of HR generalist experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with high ethical standards.
- Proficiency in HR procedures, policies, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work independently, manage projects, and meet deadlines.
- Technical skills in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems (experience with Canva and handbook builder a plus).
- Knowledge of employment laws, organizational workflows, and process improvement.
Salary: $65,000 - $70,000
