Under the general direction of the Supervisor I, the Office Technician (T) [OT(T)] performs disciplinary case review, preparation, tracking, issuance of subpoena's and follow up duties with the Attorney General's office that are essential to the operation of the Board's Enforcement Unit.

Effective July 1, 2025, the State of California implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) which reduces an employee's monthly salary in exchange for leave credits. The incumbent works 40 hours per week in the Board's main office setting, with artificial light and temperature control. The ability to use a personal computer, telephone, copier, and fax machine is essential to the duties of this position. The incumbent may spend 85% - 90% of the working day using a personal computer. The position requires bending and stooping to retrieve files; walking, and occasional light lifting, up to 20-30 pounds. (This is an in-office position at 2720 Gateway Oaks Dr., Sacramento CA 95833.)
Criminal Offender Record Information: Title 11, section 703 (d) of the California Code of Regulations requires criminal record checks of all personnel who have access to Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI). Pursuant to this requirement, applicants for this position will be required to submit fingerprints to the Department of Justice and be cleared before hiring. In accordance to DCA's (CORI) procedures, clearance shall be maintained while employed in a CORI-designated position. Additionally, the position routinely works with sensitive and confidential issues and/or materials and is expected to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of documents and topics pertaining to individuals or to sensitive program materials at all times.

The incumbent must possess a basic working knowledge of the laws and regulations governing the practice of pharmacy, including the Business and Professions Code and the Administrative Procedures Act. The position will require the use of Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and Outlook.
