Custodian – USDA Facility
Location: Lihue Airport, Lihue, HI 96766
Clearance Requirement: Background Check Required
Employment Type: Part-Time and On-Call, Flexible Schedule

Blue Marlin has an immediate need for a Custodian to provide cleaning services for a USDA facility located at the Lihue Airport. This part-time position requires 2 to 3 hours of custodial work on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday , with a flexible start time. The role is ideal for individuals seeking consistent part-time work with opportunities for growth.

Job Responsibilities:

• Remove trash and waste from designated areas.

• Dust desks, furniture, and common surfaces.

• Disinfect high-touch areas to maintain sanitary conditions.

• Sweep and mop hard-surface floors.

• Vacuum carpeted areas.

• Wash and clean sinks and countertops in the break room.

• Clean interior windows and mirrors as needed.

Essential Qualifications:

• Background Check: Must successfully pass a background screening due to the sensitivity of the facility.

• Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States.

• Experience: Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred.

• Skills: Familiarity with standard cleaning practices, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift at least 20 pounds.

Work Environment

• Hours: Approximately 6 hours per week

• Schedule:

  • Workdays: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

  • Shifts: Morning shift preferred; flexible within daytime hours

  • No nights or weekends required
