Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location: Kansas City Metropolitan Area
Reports to: Owner

What You’ll Do

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute financial strategy aligned with company goals.

  • Budgeting & Reporting: Lead annual budgeting, produce accurate financial statements, and deliver timely reports.

  • Performance Improvement: Monitor KPIs, analyze variances, and recommend actions to enhance profitability and efficiency.

  • Compliance & Controls: Ensure adherence to accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and robust internal controls.

  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks, including fraud and operational vulnerabilities.

  • Capital Management: Optimize capital structure, oversee investments, and negotiate financing with lenders and investors.

  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop the finance team with an emphasis on growth, integrity, and collaboration.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with ownership, HR, operations, and franchisees to support financial decisions.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business (Master’s preferred).

  • 7+ years of financial leadership , ideally in hospitality, restaurants, or franchising.

  • CPA designation or equivalent strongly preferred.

  • Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and ERP systems.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Proven ability to improve financial systems and drive measurable results.
