Description We are looking for an Entry-Level Accountant to join our team in Parsippany, New Jersey. This is a long-term contract opportunity offering a blend of on-site and remote work, with a focus on supporting year-end accounting activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and a high level of proficiency in Excel. Responsibilities: - Assist with year-end financial activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. - Process purchase orders and verify supporting documentation to maintain accurate records. - Perform treasury operations tasks, including monitoring transactions and maintaining financial data. - Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure proper alignment of financial statements. - Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently and accurately. - Reconcile accounts and prepare necessary accounting entries to maintain financial integrity. - Handle and organize financial images and documents for ongoing record-keeping needs. - Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies and resolve accounting-related issues. Requirements - Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices. - Proficiency in Excel for managing and analyzing financial data. - Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. - Ability to perform bank and account reconciliations accurately. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Effective communication skills for collaboration and issue resolution. - Familiarity with treasury operations is a plus. - Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
