Description We are looking for a motivated Entry-Level Accountant to join our team in Teaneck, New Jersey. This is a long-term contract position offering a valuable opportunity to gain experience in accounting. The role is designed for individuals with a background in accounting or finance who are eager to develop their skills and contribute to a dynamic environment. Responsibilities: - Perform accurate data entry and maintain financial records related to accounts payable and accounts receivable. - Reconcile bank statements and ensure discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly. - Assist in preparing accounting entries and maintaining general ledger accounts. - Support cost accounting activities to track and analyze project expenses. - Utilize pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions to manage and analyze financial data. - Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. - Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes. - Provide insights and reports to assist management in decision-making. - Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation of financial transactions. - Assist in auditing processes as needed. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively. - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. - Familiarity with accounting principles is a plus. - Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
