Are you someone who thrives on accuracy, organization, and numbers? Our client, a respected nonprofit organization, is looking for an Accountant to support their Finance team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys maintaining accurate financial records, contributing to a collaborative team environment, and taking ownership of accounting tasks.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Review, post, and audit general ledger entries from Cash Receipts, Accounts Payable, and Payroll
• Enter monthly journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Complete monthly bank account reconciliations and maintain fixed assets in MIP/Abila
• Process Washington State sales tax reporting accurately and on time
• Assist team members with accounting procedures, training, and system guidance
• Support month and year-end close, external audits, and initiatives to improve accounting processes

Here’s What Your Work History Needs to Show

• Associate degree in Accounting required; Bachelor’s preferred
• 2+ years of accounting experience; nonprofit experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of accounting software; Abila (MIP) preferred
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• A mission-driven mindset with a genuine interest in supporting an organization that serves the community

Here’s the Important Details

• Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid – minimum 2 days onsite)
• Pay Rate: $29–$38/hr. DOE
• Assignment Type: Temporary, 1–3 months
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Compliance: Must be able to pass a criminal background check
